JASPERS structure • JASPERS current staff: 56 experts, 2 vacancies • three regional offices almost fully staffed and in operation
Current Portfolio: Summary • More then 414 active and 116 completed projects to date • Major projects account for 80% of total active interventions, small projects for 7% and horizontal projects for 13%. • It is expected that JASPERS will complete about 100 Assignments in 2009 • Close to all Action Plans 2009 are signed • Support also requested by MS for wide range of relevant horizontal Issues (such as combining EU Grants with PPPs) • Demand for JASPERS expertise in non-conventional or complex projects e.g. cultural projects in Poland
Action Plans 2009 • More then 150 new Assignments are included in the Action Plans 2009, though Demand on JASPERS might even be greater
Recovery Package – JASPERS’ Role • As part of the EU’s Economic Recovery Strategy, the Commission will increase its contribution to JASPERS by 25 % in 2009-2013, meaning an Additional 15 Staff financed by the Commission, to be matched Pro Rata by EIB (+4)…
