Attendancetothisconferencewasawardedby KOLT TeachingInnovation Grant in Summer 2012. • The 2012 Higher Education Edition of Horizon Report includes the use of technology as a rising trend with promising outcomes in higher education. • Research shows that technological tools enhance learning in generation Z. It also improves student satisfaction. • Technology can be used to counteract lack of commitment, interest and motivation, which are common attitudes among the generation we teach. It helps students engage and improves success. • Mobile learning takes learning beyond the limits of the classroom and integrates it into students’ lives.
