Economy • Nigeria- unemployment more than 60% economic growth 7.4% (2011) • Somalia – second poorest country in the world 50% of it’s income is from livestock • Igbo Tribe – main sources of income are oil, sweet crude oil, cashews • Afar Tribe – main sources of income are live stock and salt mining
Religion • Nigeria - Muslim, Christianity, Yoruba Religion, and other traditional African religions • Somalia – Muslim, Christianity, and other traditional African religions • Igbo Tribe – Their own tribal religion believing in “ chukwa” • Afar Tribe – Muslim 99% Christianity .5% Other .5%
Foods Exports • Nigeria – rice, cocoa • Somalia – bananas, maize, livestock • Igbo tribe – cashews • Afar Tribe – livestock and salt mining
