Problem • different pupil size between dim and bright light condition • centration of laser ablation: pupil center, apex, line of sight • eye tracking: pupil, iris • pupil shift between the different light conditions could lead to miss alignment of the laser ablation. Method • 47 healthy subjects both eyes (12♂, 35 ♀), • mean age 36 years (range 23 to 60) • WaveLight Allegro Topolyzer: Pupil software (dim [20 lux] and bright light [455 lux] conditions)

Conclusions • the average pupil shift is 0.11mm • most pupils shift to temporal side • huge variation 0.01mm to 0.348mm • the larger pupils shifts could lead to a miss alignment between tracking and laser ablation. • → risk of decentration and poor visual outcome
