A teaser trailer is a short film trailer advertising an upcoming film. A teaser trailer is also shorter than the actual trailer of the film. It includes snippets from the film to pique the target audience's attention. • A teaser trailer can be released to the public at any time to add hype and interest before the actual trailer itself is released.
Many of the teaser trailers that are created rarely actually show any of the scenes from the film and it is only created around the big budgeted and popular themed films. • Unlike the a film trailer a teaser trailer last between 30 and 60 seconds. • Sometimes in a teaser trailer we find that the scene we see isn’t actually in the film and it is later changed for the final outcome.
How does it differ from a movie trailer? • A movie trailer lasts for a total of 3 minutes while a teaser trailer last for a shorter time of one minute or less. The teaser trailer is basically what it says it teases the audience with short clips from the film to pique their interest for the film. Trailers show more of dialogue and scenes where as the teaser doesn't. By watching a trailer you should be able to outline the bases of the film but this wouldn't be possible from the teaser trailer.
