  4. Funding Limits are…… • $100,000 for Renewable Resource Grants • $15,000 for Planning Grants • $30,000 for Emergency Grants • Loans Limited by Debt Capacity

  5. What Types of Projects Does the DNRC Fund? • Irrigation Projects and Dams • Public Infrastructure Including Stormwater Projects • Technical Feasibility Studies • Other Projects That Demonstrate Renewable Resource Benefits

  6. How Competitive is the Grant Program? • 92 Applications Received in 2008 • Typically Fund About 50% of the Applications

  7. Planning Grants • $800,000 Available July 1, 2009 • Applications Accepted after May 1st • Can Be Used for PER’s, Feasibility Studies, and Qualified Administrative Costs Including Grant Writing • $15,000/$10,000/$5,000

  8. Emergency Grants • $100,000 Per Biennium • Limited to $30,000 Per Project • Coordinated With TSEP and the Environmental Contingency Grant Program

  9. How Do We Apply for a Grant or Loan? • Renewable Resource Grant Applications are Due May 15, 2010 • Emergency Applications are “Open-Cycle” • Planning Grant Applications are “Open-Cycle” Beginning May 1, 2009
