How can literature increase an individual’s understanding of rights, responsibilities, and freedoms and influence social values and decisions? 3. How do our own values and beliefs as well as the pressures we face influence the decisions that we make? 4. How do our own values and beliefs as well as our life situation influence our sense of equality? 6.
