  2. Objectives • To study and approximate numerically low-Mach number models • To model air flow generated by fire within tunnels

  3. Key numerical ingredients • Stabilized FEM for low-Mach flows • Efficient search strategies to solve the resulting nonlinear problem • Thermal coupling between the flow and the concrete tunnel vault
