Most important transparency factor is not whether Ees know what others earn, but rather that all know exactly why they earn what they do and what they need to do to earn more AES practices pay openness, part of culture Pay openness may be difficult to implement in rapidly expanding organization, where internal equity may be sacrificed in recruitment (for external competitiveness)
