Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) The main objective of research for the environment under FP7 is to promote the sustainable management of both the man-made and the natural environment and its resources. To this end, increased knowledge on the interaction between the climate, the biosphere, ecosystems and human activities is sought and new environmentally-friendly technologies, tools and services are developed.

Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) 6.1 Climate change, pollution and risks • Pressures on the environment and climate • Environment and health • Natural hazards 6.2 Sustainable Management of Resources • Conservation and sustainable management of natural and man-made resources and biodiversity • Management of marine environments 6.3 Environmental Technologies • Environmental technologies for observation, simulation, prevention, mitigation, adaptation, remediation and restoration of the natural and man-made environment • Protection, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage, including human habitat improved damage assessment on cultural heritage • Technology assessment, verification and testing 6.4 Earth observation and assessment tools • Earth and ocean observation systems and monitoring methods for the environment and sustainable development • Forecasting methods and assessment tools for sustainable development taking into account differing scales of observation

Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) Svensk referensgrupp • Ordf Erik Arnberg, sekr Jessica Umegård • Representanter från olika myndigheter, institut och stiftelser • Ledamöterna i Formas Forskarråd samt NV´s Miljöforskningsnämnd inbjuds att delta vid diskussionerna • Universitetsrepresentant Ulf Westerlund, UU (U&H nätverk med EU handläggare)

  6. Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) Svensk referensgrupp • Träffas 2-3 gånger per år för att diskutera nästa WP och få information om ”Sveriges framgångar” • Skriftlig kommunikation (inspel, kommentering, etc) under året

Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) Hur kan ni påverka innehållet i WP? • Via era representanter (Ulf Westerlund, ledamöter i Forskarråd och Miljöforskningsnämnd) i svenska referensgruppen • Direkt kommunikation till oss (Anna, Tove, Jessica och Britta) • Direkt till EU kommissionen • Via EUs stakeholder grupp inom miljö (Mikael Karlsson, SNF)

  8. Theme 6 – Environment (including Climate Change) När kan ni påverka innehållet i WP? • Under hösten inleds förhandlingarna – överordnad nivå – inriktning på topics • Under våren slutförs förhandlingarna – detalj nivå – call texter
