Lesson/Learning Objectives • We are learning to (WALT) • Log in • Create secure passwords • Create folders • Send emails • Be safe on the Internet • What I am looking for (WILF) • A tidy ‘My Documents’ that is organised • Completed Larissa's password suggestions worksheet • Understanding of E-Safety!

  3. Logging In • Logging in and creating our folders. • Username: 07firstnameinitalsurname. • 07jblogs • Password: date of birth • password • Change your password (Think about what we discussed last lesson)

  4. Creating Our Folders • Messy/Tidy Room • Messy/Tidy Folders • Create a folder called Year 7 in your ‘My Documents’ • Inside your Year 7 Folder create a folder for each of your subjects. • Do not use special characters • ICT = Good • ICT ~#X = Bad 10 mins

  5. Sending Emails • Open Internet Explorer • Go to: vle.st-james.devon.sch.uk (This should be in your favourites.) • Scroll down to the bottom and click on School Email • Send an email to the person sitting next to you (Tell them a little bit about yourself) • Reply to the email. 10 mins

  6. Internet Safety • Using www.teach-ict.com • Key stage 3 • Old KS3 Material • Internet safety • Complete the following tasks: • Rules for using chat rooms safely • Keep Your Personal Details Safe • Cyber Bullying Worksheet
