  4. Brachioradialis Origin: lateral supercondylar ridge on humerus Action: Elbow flexion Insertion: styloid process of the radius

  5. Triceps Brachii Action: Extends elbow Origin: shoulder girdle and proximal humerus Insertion: Olecranon process of ulna

  6. Pronator teres Origin: medial epicondyle of humerus Insertion: distal/lateral radius Action: forearm pronation

  7. Hand

  8. Flexor carpi radialis Origin: Distal humerus (medial epicondyle) Insertion: second and third metacarpals Action: flexes wrist and abducts hand

  9. Flexor Carpi ulnaris Origin: distal humerus (medial epicondyle) and posterior ulna Insertion: Carpals of wrist and fifth metacarpal Action: flexes wrist and adducts hand

  10. Extensor carpi radialis Origin: distal humerus (lateral epicondyle) Action: Extends wrist and abducts hand Insertion: base of second and third metacarpals

  11. Extensor carpi ulnaris Action: wrist extension and ulnar deviation. Origin: lateral epicondyle of humerus Insertion: base of fifth metacarpal
