STUDENTS WERE DIVIDED INTO TWO GROUPS AND PAIRED AMONGST STUDENTS OF APEEJAY SCHOOL, PITAMPURA AND NOIDA. THEY JOINTLY WORKED ON THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: 1. To study the problem of Traffic Congestion from the point of view of Commonwealth Games 2010. 2. Where does belief come from? Difference in nature of Belief in UK and in India. 3. Contrasting the problem of water supply in UK and India.

Apeejay Cluster, India Trafford Cluster, UK exposed to new technologies exposed to Meditation and Yoga. learnt about emphasis on development of Skills and collection of teaching material. learnt about the importance of Music, Dance and such activities in educating a child. learnt about the importance of their highly structured programme. learnt about the advantages of having flexible programme. ACHIEVEMENTS • Altrincham Grammar School has managers for school administration. This system was adopted by Apeejay School, Pitampura. We called it “Executive Council” and it is working effectively. • Apeejay Cluster also learnt to educate children coming from muti-cultural and muti-ethnic backgrounds.
THE IMPACT • The students and the staff had British Society’s image formed after watching films / movies / visit as tourists. The UKIERI programme helped in changing that image. • It also helped in understanding people of different cultures. • It helped in making healthier attitude towards people of other countries and realizing that all of us are different but no one is inferior or superior.
