Increase knowledge and technology (irrigation!), and transportation. Agriculture (farming) and domestication (keeping animals)increases because population increased, need food. Fertile Crescent, Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Ancient China, Rome = ancient civilizations. Civilization = writing, social hierarchy, government, defense, trade.
