  30. Another animal only found in NZ is the TUATARA - a lizard said to be a relative of the dinosaurs!!!

  33. Yellow-eyed Penguin (Hoiho)New Zealand's favourite penguin • The yellow-eyed penguin is thought to be the world's rarest penguin. It is unique to New Zealand, and is one of the most threatened species.

  34. Sheep • There are LOTS and LOTS of SHEEP in fact, there are more sheep than people there!!!

  35. Flora • New Zealand is home to a large variety of beautiful flora. Pohutukawa trees The Koru The Mount Cook Lily is unique to the Mount Cook National Park.

  36. New Zealand has 112 native forest-tree species, including the kauri. New Zealand’s tallest tree Tane Mahuta – New Zealand’s tallest kauri.

  37. Cabbage Trees are native to New Zealand. Rata Treesare one of the best known native trees in New Zealand.
