  1. Safety Policy APPROVED BICYCLE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PROPERLY WORN WHILE RIDING BICYCLES AND SCOOTERS, SKATING, AND SKATEBOARDING ON ALL U.S. MILITARY INSTALLATIONS This policy applies to all members and employees of the U.S. Forces and the civilian component (including family members and guests) within the geographical boundaries of the 104th Area Support Group (ASG) and who are authorized privileges within the 104th ASG. Riding bicycles and scooters, skating, and skateboarding are very enjoyable means of recreation and have increased in popularity. However, they do present a level of risk that must be mitigated to the greatest extent possible. Accidents resulting in head trauma account for 80% of the deaths associated with these forms of amusement. Consequently, the proper use of approved helmets substantially reduces the risk for head injuries. Violators will be cited!
