  2. Introduction Chemical Indicatoris a kind of substance that provides a visible sign, usually with the color change; They are used at low concentrations, and they don't influence the conditions for which they are recommended.

  4. 1. Natural Indicators The indicators which occur naturally in the environment are referred to as the natural indicators. For example, Litmus, Turmeric, etc.

  5. 2. Olfactory Indicators • In this indicator, smell changes depending upon the nature of the medium. • These indicators do not show any color change

  6. 3. Artifical Indicators These indicators are obtained via some chemical reaction or prepared artificially in the lab are called as artificial indicators.
