Castillo de San Marcos, Ponce De Leon Hotel (Flagler College), heritage attractions, cobble stone streets, unique shops, art galleries, museums, and cafes have contributed to developing the historic district of St. Augustine
Methods • University of Florida: TRSM Students • SWOT Analysis • Internet-Based Discussion Board
Recommendations • Develop a St. Augustine “brand” • Invest in the development of a comprehensive communications plan • Invest in marketing plan to promote the city • Enhance the linkages between the historic district and waterfront • Capitalize on the history and utility of town square
Recommendations (Cont.) • Enhance linkages between attractions • Improve Internet-based special events calendar • Critically review the zoning and commercial activity ordinances • Work with the local community • Strengthen partnership with the University of Florida
