Understanding the Impact of the Sector • Volunteers contribution £28M per year to the local economy • Third Sector – fastest growth area for employment in Scotland • Over 600 groups delivering services many of which are contributing to the SOA • 2011 – South Ayrshire Third Sector report • Several organisations receive no or little funding from Local Authority or NHS • Volunteers – motivation and new generation of volunteers - learning through volunteering • Social Enterprise development – in schools etc
