Why was Paul Not Ashamed? • 1. For I KNOW Whom I Have believed.. • He knew what? He Knew HIM! • Gal. 2:20 • 2. He was Persuaded… • He was persuaded that Jesus would keep that which he had committed unto Him. Gal. 6:14
Not be ashamed of HIS Name • No other name in which we can be saved.. • JESUS… Acts 4:12 • Matt. 1:21 • The church belongs to Christ and • Is called after HIS name.. • church of Christ…Rom. 16:16

Salvation only through Jesus “But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;” 1 Corinthians 1:23 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27 The wise of this world had to turn to the wisdom of Jesus - 1 Cor. 3:18
Some are ashamed of Christ Today Ashamed to let others know they are members of the Lord’s church Avoid discussions because others think our teachings are “strange” Ashamed to discuss one church, instrumental music, necessity of baptism, creation, virgin birth

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. • For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” • Silence is an expression of embarrassment, shame.
Some are ashamed of Christ Today Peer Pressure Causes some to begin doing evil things Do not want to be regarded as different We must not go along with anything that is wrong ! We must not be ashamed to let others know why we do not practice the evil.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel It takes courage to live to please God. - 2 Pet. 1:5 No need for being ashamed of Christ - 2 Tim. 1:8 Those who are ashamed of living as the gospel demands are ashamed of Christ. “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” 1 John 2:28
