Jim and Paddy woke up in an unusual silence. “Where’s Molly?” asked Jim with a yawn.

  1. Clang, cling went the window as Molly the dog jumped out of the window and bounced out of the house unnoticed. She landed with a thud, before racing into the woods. “Freedom,” thought Molly as she charged every step of the way, into the dark and bleak Winter’s night.

  2. Jim and Paddy woke up in an unusual silence. “Where’s Molly?” asked Jim with a yawn. “I dunno,” replied Paddy yawning too, “I was planning to take her for a peaceful walk.” What Paddy didn’t know is that Molly was already taking herself for a walk trying to find a quiet place to stay. “Mum,” cried Paddy, “have you seen Molly.” “No I haven’t,” she ferociously shouted. “After breakfast we shall go and investigate,” whispered Jim, who was felling hungry, before he ran down the stairs.

  3. Once they have finished their breakfast they went outside with Molly’s delicious dog food, which is Molly’s favourite food, and dropped it behind them. Therefore Molly would be attracted to the house. So they waited for about a hour, but Molly didn’t appear. “Molly gone!” cried Paddy. “Come on Paddy,” calmed Jim, “let’s go and put up posters around town.” So they went home and made posters. When they had finished making posters, they put them up frantically around town. Desperately hoping that someone would call their number, which was 09008 745 123, and tell them where Molly had gone.

  4. As soon as they had put the last poster up, nervously a young man, who was in a hurry, ran rapidly towards them. They saw him coming in their direction. His dark hair flew in front of his brown eyes. “Are you the owner of a black Cocka-Spanial?” he panted. “Where, where?” they eagerly replied. “Somewhere in Springmead School,” he said still breathing like he was pumping a balloon. So off Jim and Paddy dashed quickly of to Springmead school.

  5. They arrived in quick time. “Quick, time is running out!” Jim wheezed, like he’d just ran the London Marathon. They saw a bright and sheltered place, so they went to look. First they looked in the classrooms, but Molly wasn’t there. Then they looked in the staffroom and lost property, but Molly wasn’t there either. “Where is she?” whispered Paddy. “I dunno,” replied Jim. “Ha-ha. There’s one place we haven’t looked.” “Of course, the head teacher's office!” So they went in, but didn’t just find Molly, they found three puppies lying down next to her! “Let’s call them Guss, Vincent and Grace and take them home.” So that’s just what they did.
