Access Client — Standard User Support WatchGuard Training Access Client v3.1.1 allows Windows standard users (users without administrator privileges) to use the Access Client. Administrator privileges are still required for the initial installation of the Access Client software. The Access Client v3.1.1 installer installs a new component, called the WatchGuard Access Client Helper Service, which performs the tasks that require elevated access privileges. This what allows a user without administrator privileges to use the Access Client. After the Helper Service is installed and running, a standard user can use either the installed or on-demand Access Client to connect to tunnel resources on the Application Portal. 4
