  1. What are the Different Types of System Scaffolding? Everyone talks about climbing the ladder to success, but how about adding a little twist to it? Scaffolding can replace the ladder, especially when the climb is very high. So why not learn more about it. This webcast will throw some light on system scaffolding. System scaffolding, also called as modular scaffolding, comprises of pre-engineered vertical and horizontal parts that are joined together in a fixed order that makes it easy for the users to use it to ascend or descend high structures. Some of the system scaffoldings are used in high volume settings, while others are used in smaller structures. There are different types of scaffolding systems, and apart from the basic components; aluminum or steel tubes, wooden boards, and couplers- each of them require different setups for making them safe to use. Here are mentioned the three types of system scaffolding: Aerial Scaffolding If a particular project requires access to multi-levels of the building at a particular time, an aerial scaffold is the perfect fit. The workers climb into the bucket area and can be mounted to different heights quite easily. Moreover, if the height is not severe, aerial scaffolding systems can prevent the need for building complicated self-supported scaffolding. Self-Supported Scaffolding Self-supported scaffolding is typically used when a contractor is getting the work done on a home or a building, so as to reach the top. These structures are oftenly placed on wheels so that the constractor can move the system scaffolding without any hassle all around the property. Self-supported scaffolding tend to be straightforward, comprising of pipes, poles, a lumber bench for workers to stand on, and including one or more ladders to reach a desired height. Suspended Scaffolding In order to perform work on highly vertical buildings, suspended scaffold systems come into play. But going up too high can make the suspended scaffolding systems quite unstable. Glass replacement companies and window cleaners often use these system scaffolds as they make work around such high buildings much easier and simple. Typically, they comprise of long, gated platforms fitted with switches, levers, and pulleys so as to give control to the workers at their stationed positions.
