  6. Main Conclusions and Recommendations (2) Registration experiences • Registration should be voluntary • Standing orders (subscriptions) need registration • A web-based automatic system is needed (as opposed to manual)

  7. Main Conclusions and Recommendations (3) Portal for official statistics • Web-services, not only links • In the future, the CSO’s role as co-ordinator for official statistics is required • Makes all statistics easy to find • We should be - or at least try to be - one step ahead of the users

Main Conclusions and Recommendations (4) Education of users / WEB Schools • The Finnish experience: the English version of the Web School on the internet will be available by the end of the year 2005 • The Swedish example: The Class Room - Klassrummet • The Estonian example: The School Corner • It is important to educate future users of statistics!
