  1. Jane Spence Former Chief of Secondary Schools, District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS)

  2. Jane Spence is an educational professional. She makes sure that every student under her care receives a high quality of education.

  3. Jane Spence has many achievements to her credit. She achievements include leading urban district high schools to an aggregate 10% increase (from 2015 to 2017) in high school student achievement on PARCC (ELA) as Deputy Chief of School.

  4. She was recognized as the principal of the year for the state of Maryland. She also raised advanced placement participation from 25% to 38% as a principal of a 3000 student school. Previously she was named as the teacher of the year for Gibbs High School (Florida).

  5. Jane Spence served as the deputy chief of secondary schools at the District of Columbia Public Schools from 2014 to 2017.

  6. She supervised instructional superintendents for high schools and middle schools. She implemented response-to-intervention programs in all middle and high schools.

  7. Her dedication helped her to bag the position of the chief of secondary high schools in 2017. She continued serving at the schools til 2018.
