  1. Snapdragon 26 “Cloth Porridge Too” Thames Marine Ltd approx 1968-build heavy fibreglass bilge-keel cruiser 26 ft (7.92m) o/a length, 8.42 ft (2.57m) beam, 2.58 ft (0.79m) draft, 5.6ft (1.7m) headroom, 4-5 berth but ideally comfortable for 2 persons. A much-loved and well maintained boat for 22 years, originally sailed back from the south of France, via the Midi Canal, up the French coast, across the Channel to Scilly Isles and up to home mooring at Beaumaris, Anglesey. Then regularly sailed (often single-handed) in the Irish Sea (Isle of Mann, Ireland, etc). In 2011, sailed across to Dublin, mast laid down and taken into Irish Canals and across to the Shannon where she is currently cruising, with plans to eventually return to Dublin via the Royal Canal and back to Anglesey. A good, steady sea-boat but equally at home on the wider canals with reasonable depth; will sit comfortably ashore or on the beach with the moulded-in twin bilge keels (sacrificial shoes fitted with inset stainless steel strips) and skeg (recently re-built and strengthened to provide improved rudder bottom bearing/support). Reluctantly, due to ‘retirement’ commitments and acquisition of another canal cruiser, we need to part with Cloth Porridge, so: FOR SALE ~ £5,000 (€6,000) fully equipped and ready for sea and/or canal cruising ~ all you will need is yourself, perhaps ‘crew’ and life jackets (+ sleeping bags to stay aboard).
