  2. INTRODUCTION • Judy Blume is a great children’s author. Judy had a good and bad childhood. She did not get a good education in college. Judy puts her life in her books.

  3. JUDY’S CHILDHOOD • Judy Blume’s childhood had good and bad parts. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on February 12,1938. When she was young the World War II had just started. Judy had a brother who was very ill because they where in a cold climate. So Judy, her mom, her grandmother, and her brother moved to Florida for 2 school years.

  4. College • Judy Blume did not finish college. She was going to classes in Boston and she had two kids to take care of. Her husband was always away so it was up to Judy to take care of her kids . So she did not bother to go back to go college.

  5. Judy’s First Book • Judy wrote her first book in 1969. In 1976, she published Starring Sally J. Friedman as Herself. The next book she wrote is It Is Not the End. Fourteen years later she had another book out called What Kids Wish They Could Tell You. The top 5 books she has written are Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing, Other Wise Know as Sheila The Great, and the Three Fudge Books.

  6. Getting Ideas Judy Blume gets ideas from many places. She came up with the tittles by asking her grandchildren and family and friends. Judy takes her childhood and puts it in to her books and novels.

  7. Becoming Famous Judy became famous by writing children’s books. Now Judy is one of the best children’s authors. Now she is taking classes in New York because she got her college degree in the mail one day she packed and got in a cab and left.

  8. Conclusion • Judy Blume is one of the number 1 children’s authors. Judy is a very good author because she puts her life into her books and takes ideas from her family and friends.
