  21. Send to: Department Chair

  22. ECD approval system  • Department Chairs have to approve a course twice • First time: Faculty member has finished initial first version. It goes to the Department Chair for approval. It is approved when the Department Chair clicks on approve to continue on to curriculum tech for review. • Second time: Chair gets to see completed approved course by curriculum tech. If the Chair approved then he/she should click on approve, at that time it goes to their Dean for approval. • If the Chair is not OK with the course (at any time), click on return it. The outline will be returned to faculty with a note as to why it is being returned. It would be considerate i.e. not correctly done, no plans to offer course (especially if new). There is a cancel button which deletes the whole course, advice not to click on that. • Faculty....when you are done w/ initial version of course it will go to your DeptChair for approval.....(if Chairs does not approve it...it comes back to you).......then to curric chair....then to SLO coordinator.......who will send back either approval or notes as will curric person.............when all correction made and approved by curric tech.............it will go back to Chair for final approval.....new course it will go to Articulation Officer & Librarian and then back to Chair for final approval • Deans...........after the Dept Chair hasseen the final version the outline comes to youfor approval...................if you approve ...it goes to curric chair to take to curric meeting • When approved at curric and at Senate it will go to • Senate President for approval • VP Academic Affairs for approval • President (if new course for approval)
