  11. Institutional Responsibility • Budgetary Issues have caused institution to reduce enrollment to the level that is funded by the CSU (reminder that cost of tuition at CSU does not cover cost of education) • In discussions on how to reduce enrollment • Fewer enrollment standard exceptions • Remediation may eventually be phased out for now policies that were not enforced will be • Midyear enrollment…no • More firm deadlines • Number of repeats; withdrawals will be limited

  12. Institutional Responsibility • Athletics needs to revisit exceptions that we need versus exceptions that are necessary as a result of our inefficiencies: • EX: • presently still have PSAs not through admissions(cannot register until admitted) • presently there are still many unused scholarships, NLI deadline was August 1, any permanent adjustments for underclassmen or one-time adjustments for seniors should have been requested by now • Have international PSAs arriving after international orientation; a required item • Hopefully we do not have SAs who need to change majors or declare a major for eligibility…must be done prior to first day of classes • Transcripts from other institutions needed for credit for summer courses or for transfer entry…..are MIA Reminder that some offices in athletics have fewer staff members and we have corporation furloughs.
