  3. 翡翠水庫位於臺灣北部，主流為新店溪，支流為北勢溪，行政區主要包含新北市石碇區及坪林區，是台北市最為重要水資源。翡翠水庫位於臺灣北部，主流為新店溪，支流為北勢溪，行政區主要包含新北市石碇區及坪林區，是台北市最為重要水資源。 翡翠水庫於1979年8月開工，工程隨即於1987年6月完工。完工後由臺北市政府成立臺北翡翠水庫管理局負責運轉及維護。 它為北區最大的水庫，每日的供水量達345萬立方公尺，供水區有台北市、新店、中和、永和、三重、汐止等，地面積約為334平方公里，需供應約346萬人的水，的確蠻大的。
