  4. Our Mission The CDMA Certification Forum is a partnership ofvendors and operators worldwide that develop and maintain test and certification standards to meet prescribed international conformance requirements. CCF Certification benefits • Fast track through operators testing process: Using the CCF process allows vendors touncover issues with their devices before they go through operators' processes or hit the market. • Consistency:Using the same test process for all devices ensures that they all conform to the same standards. • Minimized duplication and cost:Because the test results generated meet most operators' basic needs worldwide, vendors can use these results for multiple operators. • Minimized test time: The efficient streamlined process greatly reduces certification time, and hence shortens time-to-market. The tests are conducted by qualified test facilities and provide the most appropriate level of test coverage under automated, repeatable, and controllable test conditions.

  5. Activities since 3GPP2 Sapporo The CDMA Certification Forum has been involved in several activities since the 3GPP2 Meeting held in Sapporo, Japan in Oct 2012: • New Board of Directors Elected: • Vendors: Ericsson, Qualcomm, Huawei, Sierra Wireless (VC) & Via Telecom • Operators: Sprint Nextel (C), Verizon Wireless, US Cellular • Observers: CDG, Agilent Technologies • Observer ATF Rep: SGS North America • The CCF has held 3 face to face meetings: • CCF SC/TWG/CWG Meeting in Lexington, KY in Nov 2012 • CCF SC/TWG/CWG Meeting in San Diego, CA in Jan 2013 • CCF Regional Meeting in Beijing, China in Mar 2013 • New Work Items for 2013 approved: • e1X CSFB, TDD-LTE & C2K Interworking, HD Voice, & 3G/4G Wi-Fi Interoperability • Liaison activities with other industry partners: • CTIA collaboration on Battery Life Measurement, Hardware Reliability Testing, Cyber Security, Converged Wireless Devices, M2M, C2K-LTE IOT, & Audio Performance • GCF Harmonization activities & participation in GCF Steering Group & Performance Agreement Group Meetings

  7. Activities since 3GPP2 Sapporo • Progress on Current Work Items: • Handset Based Plus Code Dialing (HBPCD) & Manual System Avoidance (MSA): Agilent China Lab currently doing test case verification based on manual testing solution • 1X-Advanced: AgilentPlatform validation underway at CGC. Cabled IOT testing of 1X Advanced incorporated in CCF 57. • SVLTE: Updates to test plans made. Spirent Platform validation underway at Qualcomm. Discussing Phase 2 with Operators. • CSIM: Updates to test plans made. Comprion’s Platform Validation underway at Qualcomm. Scoping of CCAT commencing. • Progress on Current Test Programs : • C2K-LTE: Updates to iRAT Test Specs ongoing. Work beginning on Global Mode System Selection (GMSS) Test Plans • Test Case Reduction: 1st pass on reducing CCF Core Testing is almost complete. Working with operators to perform 2nd, more aggressive pass. • Performance Testing: Use Cases capturing end user behavior in live network conditions are being generated to create smarter test cases. • Cabled Interoperability Test: Focus is being put on SVLTE, eCSFB and TDD-LTE & C2K Interworking testing scenarios. Test Case Reduction also being tackled.

  10. Collaboration with 3GPP2 • Items impacting and potentially impacting 3GPP2: • Battery Life Measurement: CCF will continue to coordinate any collaborative work needed between the 3GPP2 and CTIA. The output of the group should hopefully be a 3GPP2 document that can be utilized by any cdma2000 operator and/or vendor. • Smart Cards: Updates being funneled into C.S0048 and C.S0101 based on outcome of CSIM validation activity. These are being managed and introduced by Comprion. • FD-LTE & C2K Testing: We are currently evaluating C.P0095-A to see if it can be used as a baseline for our e1XCSFB initiative. • GPS Performance Testing: We have submitted an request to update the C.S0036-A spec to include 2 exceptions which are required for testing. These targeted for release for the June 3GPP2 meeting based on WG4.2 feedback • TD-LTE & C2K Interworking: CCF members have asked that there be a test solution developed to validate TD-LTE & C2K Interoperability. • 3G/4G Wi-Fi Data Interworking: TSG AC WG4.2 checking to see if 3GPP2 work on heterogeneous networks is applicable for CCF
