Gains Increased lethality. Permits the leveraging of funds from both XM29 and XM307 programs to improve the 25mm in terms of aeroballistics and warhead/fuze efficiency. Significant savings in development and production cost of ammunition estimated at $109.6M (potentially higher) ** Provides an opportunity to develop a relative single family of 25mm munitions for XM25 and XM307. Losses Increased weight of XM25 makes XM29 combinatorial system weight (KPP) unachievable at this time.
