By utilizing the Zoom platform, students can access tutoring services remotely, eliminating the need for in-person appointments. The implementation process includes comprehensive training, constant feedback, and measurement of efficiency and satisfaction. Learning Labs Small Group LEAD • Supplemental Instruction for chemistry courses • Two- hour and a half long sessions a week customized to each class section • Two office hours provided by tutors to students • Services originally provided only in-person, but now by ZOOM • Located in UTS Tutoring Lab (208 D.D. Dougherty) for In-Person and practically anywhere for ZOOM! • In-Person Operating Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-8pm, Friday 9am-5pm • Online Operating Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-12am • Drop-in labs for impromptu assistance • Located in satellite locations across Appalachian’s campus and via ZOOM • Only accessible during designated timeframes. • Learning Labs in 10 high demand courses

Plans to Troubleshoot the Concerns • Tutor Satisfaction - providing other opportunities for tutors to gain hours, providing training video tutorial • Getting the word out - marketing strategies across campus via email, fliers, etc. • Resistance to change - providing open floor for discussion on feedback and improvements • Technical Difficulties - eliminating ZOOM temporarily, coordination with TutorTrac and ZOOM professionals, updating tutors regularly • Learning Curve - mandatory training at beginning of semester, training videos available, extra optional one-on-one training
