  2. -SE • A verb is made reflexive by adding “se” to the infinitive form…for example: • Lavar means to wash • Lavarse means to wash oneself • Poner means to put • Ponerse means to put on oneself • Lets practice with the following reflexive verbs

  3. Ducharse – to shower oneself

  4. Afeitarse –to shave oneself

  5. Lavarse – to wash oneself

  6. Peinarse – to comb ones hair

  7. Cepillarse – to brush ones hair

  8. Lavarse…o…cepillarse los dientes

  9. Verb + Reflexive verb • In the situation where another verb precedes a reflexive you will conjugate the first verb, leave the reflexive verb in the infinitive form and attach the reflexive ending that corresponds with the appropriate person. For example: • Necesitasducharte • Necesitolavarmelasmanos • Tengoqueirme

  11. Ask a partner how often they do the following: • Con quefrecuencia….. • Teduchas? • Teafeitas? • Te lavas? • Tepeinas? • Tecepillas? • Don’t forget your words of frecuencia (a veces, muchasveces, nunca, y siempre)
