Greening Kitchissippi: Transforming Urban Space into Native Garden Oasis

Transform an under-used site into a secret garden and reintroduce native plant species in Eastern Ontario. Raise awareness about biodiversity. The project addresses the lack of green spaces for children to learn about nature in Kitchissippi Ward. Community volunteers, including children and seniors, will build and maintain the garden. Funding sought from Walmart/Evergreen Foundation, Westboro Community Association, Friends of Clare Park, and in-kind donations.
