Encouraging the use of NMMA certification or accepted products, promoting manufacturing and construction standards, and facilitating the exchange of product safety information among manufacturers. Providing educational opportunities in accident prevention, risk management, quality assurance, owner's manuals, dealer interface, and accident response.

The Boating Industry Risk Management Council • The Mission of BIRMC • Promote boating safety though product integrity and accident prevention. • Require use of NMMA Certification or Type Accepted products. • Recognize manufacturing and construction standards. • Encourage exchange of product safety information among manufacturers • Provide educational opportunities and information in the areas of accident prevention, risk management, quality assurance, owner’s manuals, dealer interface and accident response.
