Heck Reaction. Late 1960, Heck developed Heck reaction. For Aryl halide or vinyl Halide. With Alkyl Halide, no Heck reaction is possible because of following reason. Good with Iodide or bromide, but not with chloride due to less reactivity Good with psuedo halide:

  4. Good with Iodide or bromide, but not with chloride due to less reactivity Good with psuedo halide: ArCOCl, ArSO2-Cl, Ar-N2+X-, R-OSO2CF3, -OSO2-Rf (Rf=perfluoroalkyl), R-OSO2CH3, Ar-ArI+

  5. For Aryl chloride, dippb [1,4-bis(diisopropylphosphino)butane] Activated with Cr(CO)3, and demetallation with I2

  6. For conjugate diene aromatization

  7. Difference between Terminal Alkene and Cyclic Alkene Ag2CO3 is for retarding isomerization of alkene
