  1. Assigning a Drive Letter to a Flash Drive

  2. Right Click My Computer • Click Manage • Computer Management Dialog Box Opens • Under Storage Click Disk Management

  3. Select the Removable Disk Drive (the drive letter will be different on each computer)* • Once the drive is selected, right click your mouse • Select Change Drive Letter and Paths a new dialog box opens • Click Change *TIP: Select each drive to see which is the removable drive.

  4. Select Another Drive Letter by clicking the down pointing arrow at the option Assign the Following Drive Letter. • Click OK • Message to Confirm Click YES

  5. The Drive Letter of the flash drive should be the letter chosen,open My Computer to see if the flash drive is available. • These instruction may need to be followed each time the flash drive in inserted into a USB port. • Be sure to use the SAME USB port each time the flash drive is accessed.
