The books text and pictures had a strong influence on Barragan and his circle.” In view of the radicalism exerted by contemporary international (modern) architecture, Barragan’s work is an exception, an act of disobedience. His buildings evoke emotions and sensations that are generally overlooked; inner experience, remoteness, fantasy, and nostalgia.
