  2. Española’s population is 87% Hispanic, 9% Anglo and 3% Native American

  3. According to the updated 2013 census update 28% of Española’s population lives under the Federal Poverty Line

  4. 25% of those over 25 in Española have not graduated from high school or earned a GED

  5. Rio Arriba County has the highest death by heroin overdose rate in the United States

  6. Our mission is to provide ministries in Jesus’ name to help Española Valley students and their families succeed in school and in life

  7. We accomplish this mission by providing

  8. Educational ministries to support the K-12th grade students of McCurdy Charter School

  9. A free morning preschool and low cost, afternoon faith-based preschool

  10. A low cost After School Care program

  11. A free mental health counseling program called Project Cariño

  12. A summer camp called Camp Stars for K-6th grades including STEM education and VBS fun

  13. A Breakfast and Lunch Program for McCurdy Charter School students so our students won’t go hungry

  14. A Volunteers in Mission program which welcomes more than 500 volunteers from across the U.S. yearly

  15. McCurdy touches the lives of 500+ students every school day and makes God’s difference because of the faithful support of United Methodists all around the country and we Thank you!

  16. The difference McCurdy Ministries makes is limited only by the power of our convictions and the strength of our faith when we Vaya con Dios
