  3. Acceptable worship is: • Directed to God – Matt. 4:10 • In spirit – John 4:24 • Not “fast” or “spirited” • Refers to inner man –Eph. 5:19 • In truth –John 4:24; 17:17

  4. Hindrances to worship • Treat as unimportant • Irregular attendance • Always late • Treat as casual affair • Irreverent • Talking & laughing • Sleeping • Playing with children

  5. Things that help • Prepare to worship • Not just a spectator • See Ezra 7:10 • Be reverent • “Take time to be holy”

  6. What Must I Do To Be Saved? • Hear the gospel (Rom. 10:17) • Believe Jesus is Christ (Acts 8:37) • Repent of your sins (Luke 13:3) • Confess your faith (Mt. 10:32) • Baptized for remission of sins (Acts 2:38) • Walk by faith in newness of life (Rom. 6:4)
