  1. Clams • There are several types of clams. These are two example, Hard -shell clam and soft-shell clam .

  2. The Homes of the Clams • Hard -shell clam are harvested along the Atlantic coast of Canada and the U.S. • Soft-sell clams have a smooth body .from the mudflats of New England are especially popular for this clam.

  3. Breeding • Clams belong to the Phylum Moll species,.They are members of class Bivalve .The breeding season varies with the locality, and also with the temperature of the water.Each egg is only about 1/300 in across but a female many release 5-12 or even 25 million of eggs.

  4. Feeding Time • They feed by straining fine porticoes from the water together with small floating organisms like diatoms on each bears countless cilia beating in such a way as to draw them near
