  2. Traits The porcupine is a warm blooded vertebrate. The porcupine has blackish fur and it’s slow moving. It can grow up to 10 inches tall and 30 inches long and 9-20 lb.

  3. Adaptations It uses claws and incisors to get bark and salt. Quills help protect it from predators.

  4. Interesting Facts The name porcupine comes from the Latin words porcus and spina which mean (“swine”) and (“thorn”).

  5. Camouflage The porcupine has brownish, blackish fur to camouflage itself in leaves.

  6. I thought the porcupine was interesting, because it came from Latin words.
