Create Taiwan SBD to improve the quality • of English translation in Taiwan laws • 3. Work with Taiwan experts of information • technology to locate alignment problems

  21. Taiwan Law Translation– Semi STD From Nos.1-1680, Computer aligned Chinese Ideograms from Japanese Kanji Were 90% correct 1.[B]- Japanese 4400 keywords in Kanji. 2. [D]- Computer align [B] to Chinese ideograms in TaiwanKWIC. 3. [E]- 1st & 2nd reviews of [D]. 4. [F]- 3rd & Shee reviews of [E] (&[D]).

  23. Taiwan Law Translation– FUTURE WORK English translation JaLII computer aligns Column D to its English translation in the TaiwanKWIC to make Columns G,H I etc..

If D cannot find an English translation from Taiwan KWIC,  there may be 3 possibilities:-- D is wrong or it may be a legal concept but not a legal terminology in Taiwan law.-- D is a legal terminology in Taiwan law, but that law has not been included in TaiwanKWIC.  Then the law must be put into TaiwanKWIC.-- Taiwan Law has no such legal concept or legal terminology as it is in Japanese Law.

  25. Develop… Law STDs of Chinese Ideograms • Complete the Excel file to align keywords through Chinese ideograms of Japan vs Taiwan (then add Korean & PRC), and compare (correct) the English translations of pairs of Chinese ideograms. • Make another Excel to align English keywords (translation) of Japan vs Taiwan (then Korean & PRC), and compare the Chinese ideograms used for one concept, e.g. intellectual property.

  30. Develop… Judicial Interpretation STDs 1. Make an Excel file to align Chinese keywords with Japanese Kanji in the JLT to compare their English translations. 2. Combine the Judicial Interpretation and the Law Excel files to sort out different legal concepts\terminologies developed in the Interpretations out of the Law, and their possible connections to the Laws of Japan, Korea and PRC (use dual KWIC).
