This Clinical Cardiovascular Nursing Essentials Course was designed to meet the Professional Development and Board Certification needs of your Cardiac Nurses and Nurse Practitioners working in PCU, Telemetry, Emergency Chest Pain Centers, Cardiovascular Critical Care, Cath Lab, CV Surgery, CV Recovery, Cardiac Rehab, and Private Practice Cardiology Offices and Clinics. If your hospital is seeking or needs to maintain Magnet Status, the Board Certification Exams offered by the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine are approved by the ANCC for Magnet applications. Houston, TX July 13-14, 2013 FACULTY: Jonni Cooper, PhD, RN, MACCN, A-ECG-BC, CVRN-BC Level V, CEO President & Founder of the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine, Home of the Marriott Heart Foundation, American College of Cardiovascular Nurses (ACCN) and the Society of Cardiac Monitoring. Under her leadership these Organizations have collectively accomplished setting Standards of Practice and Education for Physicians reading on Hospital ECG Panels, Cardiovascular Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, Cardiac Monitor, ECG, and CV Technicians working in the Cardiovascular Service Line. She then led a team of Experts in the Development of a Multi-Level Board Certification Process for these groups of Cardiac Professionals to Validate their various Professional Roles in Cardiology. In addition, Jonni is a seasoned Author, International Faculty and Guest Speaker for Hospitals and Cardiology Organizations Worldwide, including the Asian Pacific Cardiology Conference in Australia, the Argentina Cardiology Conference, The Society of Chest Pain Centers, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Rogers Heart Foundation, Heart Talk/Tampa Tracings, and many others. Alice Friedrich, ANP, MS, BSN, RN, CVRN-BC Level II. Alice currently works as a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner for the North Shore LIJ Health System in New York.  In addition, she works per diem in a multisite Radiology Practice in the Cat Scan and MRI Departments. As a former Adjunct Nursing Professor at Molloy College, Rockville Center, New York, her students often remarked on her ability to make learning enjoyable, informative and practical. Alice was among the first Nurse Practitioners to receive CVRN Board Certification Status in 2000.
