The Beatles were one of the most popular bands during 1965. Out of the top 10 songs they made two songs, Yesterday and Help!. Rolling stones were also one of the most popular bands during 1965. They only one song here is the one they made: (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. There were a lot of bands that were popular during this year but there is only the top ten songs on the cover.   4. ABOUT THE PRESIDENT Lyndon B. Johnson was the president of the US during the year of 1965. He was born on August 27, 1908. He was a Texas Democrat and a Senator from 1949–1961. During his presidency he was involved in the Vietnam War. Before he was president, Kennedy was killed. About 2 hrs Lyndon became president. He died January 22, 1973. The people loved him because he loved giving gifts to the people such as tooth brushes. Some social issues that were going on during this time was the Civil rights Movements. It was a struggle to the African Americans because they were trying to get people to think of the equal rights for men. They also wanted them to think about the first paragraph of the declaration of independence: That all men are created EQUAL.

I can remember my mother watching it and ensuring children did not disturb her during the show which put Mia Farrow and Ryan O'Neal on the road to stardom. Sports Figures Petra Burka- She was born in Amsterdam her first place to go was Canada with her family in 1951.Figure skating was her favorite sport because her mother was a figure skating coach. When she was 15 she won the Junior Canadian Championships because she became the first female to land a triple jump at the national tournament. During 1965 she caught everyone’s eyes at all the competitions' with her magnificent performances. She was named Canada’s top female athlete. "During that time I got to work with Petra Burka (1965 World champion), who made me feel I had something worthwhile to offer the skating world - that I had a talent.
