  3. Breaking words apart What technique could I use to remember how to spell the wordungracefully? You could break the word down into prefixes and suffixes: ungracefully un grace ful ly prefix root word suffix suffix It can also be helpful to deliberately mispronounce a word you have trouble spelling, so that you emphasize each syllable.
