AFS 2001:3 From The Swedish Work Environment Authority The use of Personal Protective Equipment • ”Shallmean all equipment designed to be worn or held by the workertoprotecthim/heragainstone or morehazardslikelytoendangerhis/hersafety and health at work, and addition or accessory designed tomeetthisobjective.”
AFS 2001:3 Use of Personal Protective Equipment • Personal protectiveequipmentshall be usedwhenthe risks cannot be avoided or sufficientlylimitedby technicalmeans off collectiveprotection or by measures, methods or procedures of work organisation. • The employershall, at no costto the employee, provide the personal protectiveequipmentneeded for the work.
