2. Welcome to Fifth Grade! • We have 16 girls (5 new girls) • If you have any questions during my presentation, please feel free to ask.

All About Me • My education • Graduated from Fontbonne University with certification in Elementary Education and a Masters in Computer Science Education • Certified in Religious Education • My experience. • This is my fourteenth year teaching (fourth year at Visitation Academy.) • I have experience at many grade levels.

5. My Goals • To Live + Jesus • To give your daughter the academic and social skills needed to progress to sixth grade. • To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment that values excellence in scholarship, spirituality, leadership and service. • To help your daughter make new friends and discover new interests.

6. Classroom Community In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rules are: • Be respectful and responsible • Be organized and follow directions • Be your best Girls can receive marks on their responsibility card for the following: • Not completing homework • Unacceptable behavior • Not following the uniform rules • Please go over the rules in the lower school • handbook with your daughter

8. Homework • Use vizonline, lower school, select the teacher • Homework will be given in advance when possible • Contact me if the amount is too much for your child

9. Attendance & Dismissal • School starts at 8:00 A.M. Please get them to school by 7:50 • I start right on time. • Family Trips • I need a note if your child is going home with a friend from school

10. Lunch • We will have Friday Friends • Birthdays will be celebrated at lunch. Please send a small treat to celebrate the special day
