  1. CLIC TBM Prototype T0@CLEX Integration. Inventory. Planning Report #2 - March 2014 Dmitry Gudkov

  2. CONTENTS • 2D layout • Inputs • Supporting elements for CLEX components in the working area • Integration • Inventory • Integration of TBM and modification of CLEX components. Drive beam • Integration of TBM and modification of CLEX components. Probe beam • Inventory of the CLEX components - Under way, will be shown next time. • Status of components production for TBM • Planning for the TBM installation in CLEX • Documentation

  3. TBM Prototype T0@CLEX. Integration. Phase 1. Igor Syratchev

  4. TBM Prototype T0@CLEX. Integration. Phase 1. Igor Syratchev

  5. TBM Prototype T0@CLEX. Integration. Phase 1. Igor Syratchev

  6. TBM Prototype T0@CLEX. Integration. Phase 1. • 1 PETS and 1 SAS will be powered; • VGVs are installed on each extremity to detach the test stand; 2D layout is based on one phase 3.1 (see above) Phase 3.3 requires another modification of the primary RF network (2..3 new waveguides, splitter, directional coupler, on-off). UPDATED No more on-off units available. Module border Module border

  7. INPUTS. Integration of TBM. Probe beam 3D model is based on the document prepared by Wilfrid Farabolini: EDMS 1366387 Are implemented in the drawing CLIATCIN0005 (under way):

  8. INPUTS. Integration of TBM. Drive beam Positions of the quadrupoles, input from Jacob Esberg: EDMS 1366388 Are implemented in the drawing CLIATCIN0005 (under way):

  9. TBM implantation in CLEX storage

  10. TBM implantation in CLEX

  11. TBM implantation in CLEX

  12. TBM implantation in CLEX

  13. TBM implantation in CLEX ~14 meters

  14. TBM implantation in CLEX

  15. TBM implantation in CLEX

  16. TBM supporting benches (24 holes to be drilled for installation) 2 Feet to be reused in different place (8 holes to be drilled) New girders (x3) Supporting Elements for TBM and CLEX Components • All green feet will not be moved • Green girders will be moved by several cm.

  17. TBM implantation in CLEX

  18. Installation of the TBM supporting system

  19. Installation of the components of the TBM + alignment control The TBM assembly is performed by subassemblies: 1. (DBQ+BPM) x 2; SAS x 2; PETS x 2; + fixating clamps 2. Vacuum equipment (minipumps; valves; gauges) 3. Supporting frame + RF load 4. Supporting frame + RF network 5. Cooling tubes (fittings are pre-installed) Transport of the girders with installed components requires the design (+safety validation) of the transport tooling. Subassemblies will reduce the overall installation time.

  20. TBM implantation in CLEX Waveguide support based on standard components will be delivered soon.

  21. TBM implantation in CLEX

  22. CLEX working area after installation of components

  23. Final tests and cables reconnection

  24. Resources Cooling system: final integration is under way by Vadim Soldatov and Alexios Lorens Vamvakas Installation: FSU108, Andrey Olyunin, Wilfrid Farabolini (CLEX equipment coordination) Vacuum for CLEX: Esa Antero Paju Fiducialization, alignment: ABP-SU Special tasks: external companies or other groups of CERN are involved The planning must take into account the summer holidays of people involved in the installation. The holidays periods can be integrated in the personal calendar of each person (MS Project).

  25. Status of components. TBM

  26. Status of components. TBM. Primary RF Network

  27. Status of components. CLEX working area Cooling pipe

  28. Documentation • EDMS 1366387 – INPUT. Integration of TBM in CLEX. Probe beam • EDMS 1366388 – INPUT. Integration of TBM in CLEX. Drive beam • CLIATCIN0004 (under way) – Integration of TBM in CLEX. Supporting system • CLIATCIN0005 (under way) - Integration of TBM in CLEX. RF components • EDMS 1366389 – TBM installation in CLEX. Detailed planning (preliminary)
